Type and Values: From Preferences to Politics

This program qualifies for 2.5 APA and MBTI®MP continuing education credits.
CE credits are FREE for BAAPT members. $15 for non-members.

Karen and Judy will be using the “Moral Foundations Theory” as neutral language for thinking and talking about differences in values in a way comparable to using type theory for thinking and talking about differences in behavior.

Participants will take away from this session:

  • Explore and review what "values" are, and how we acquire them
  • Learn how type bias may influence how we see and respond to people whose values differ from our own
  • Become acquainted with Johanthan Haidt's Moral Foundations

 This presentation is geared to All Type learners.

 

 Karen Keefer has been an MBTI® practitioner since 1986,        administering and interpreting the MBTI instrument for individuals,  couples, adults and teens as well as conducting workshops for a    wide variety of organizations. She delivered MBTI Qualifying  Training for APTi for 12 years, presenting at many APTi conferences  and chapters. She holds an M.A. in Marriage, Family and Child  Counseling. She has written articles and workbooks about Type  development. Karen is a past President of BAAPT.

 

 Judy Levy has over 25 years working with organizations and  individuals to help them manage change and transitions, resolve  conflict and improve team effectiveness.  She holds a MS degree in  Organizational Development, a BA in Psychology and has achieved the  ICF designations of Professional Coactive Coach (PCC). Judy is certified  in NeuroLeadership, is a Certified Organization and Relationship  Systems Coach (ORSCC) and an MBTI® Master Practitioner. She has  administered the MBTI instrument since 1996.
