How We Live the 8 Functions of Our Psychological Type

Presented By

Adam Frey (ISFJ preferences)

 Members:  Free     Visitors:  $35
NOTE:  Members may bring first-time guests at no charge

Please note that we begin at 9:00 a.m.  with refreshments and facilitated networking. Announcements at 9:15, Adam begins at 9:30.

In this presentation, Adam Frey will briefly review John Beebe’s “whole type” model and help us to recognize how we live out all of the types of consciousness in our daily lives. Recognizing how we express our type in activities that we don’t expect to master and control helps us to experience not only life’s richness and variety but also our own!

Come hear how we use our dominant type to meet challenges and demonstrate our competence, but there is more to life than mastery! For example, there is playing, laughing, worrying, dreaming, and finding fault. When we—and those around us—engage in these activities, the type expressed is very different than when we manage for smooth sailing in work and family.

Participants will take away from this session:

  • Learn why author Mark Hunziker calls Beebe’s model “depth typology”
  • Begin to recognize different facets of your personality & how you are already growing and developing
  • Be able to recognize when someone else is using a less preferred functions because they are defensive
  • Understand what triggers defensiveness in people and develop empathy for what that feels like

This presentation is geared for those with intermediate and advanced type knowledge
