Quarterly Can & Bottle Drive - January 20, 2018
For the Can & Bottles, all we ask is the following:
- Please securely bag and/or box the cans and bottles...especially the glass. Don't overload a plastic bag with heavy glass bottles. Securely boxed or mixed bags are fine, we just dont' want any of our volunteers to get hurt lifting super-heavy bags and to avoid broken glass. Thank you for your help here.
- Only 5-cent CT redeemables please. No plastic Gatorade or other OJ jugs, they are not redeemable and take up valuable space on the recycle truck. Just throw these into your blue recycle bins at home so they can be properly recycled. Thanks!
- Please No Drop-Offs before January 20th. When bags of cans, bottles and glass are dropped off too early the wind and animals cause them to litter our grounds. Our volunteers are pretty good at spotting them, but it's easier to manage when a drive is coming up. Thank you for keeping our church grounds clean.
Please start spreading the word NOW so people can be aware of this and hold onto their items until January 20th.
