Learn about the different types of tools and equipment used in beekeeping from the pros with the Central Washington Beekeepers Association. Topics covered include brood boxes, honey supers, queen excluders, frames, foundations, bottom boards, hive stands, feeders, smokers and fume boards. You will get tips on how to assemble and care for your equipment, and where to purchase them just in time for next year's beekeeping season.
Hands-on: The class also includes a hands-on section where you will have the opportunity to put a hive body together (brood box or honey supper), build a frame, install wax and plastic foundations and practice using the various beekeeping tools. This is a great class for beginners and beekeepers who need a refresher course.
