"Award Winning Irises at Below Market Prices!"
The Yakima Valley Iris Society hosts its annual Iris Rhizome Sale in the Harold Jones Center at the Yakima Area Arboretum. Look for a great selection of irises from historic to newer varieties in all bearded classes, plus, varieties found in the Arboretum's own Iris Display Garden. Over 100 different iris varieties will be on sale.
Want to learn how to separate your own iris rhizomes? Let the members of the Iris Society show you how. Iris Society members will be conducting ongoing demonstrations throughout the day on the art of planting, growing and caring for these most versatile of flowers.
Irises tend to be very hardy options for Eastern Washington gardens and can be a great solution for tough locations and poor soil, such as along driveways and alleys. Most varieties are drought and heat tolerant.
Everyone is welcome!
