5-Part Landscape Design Class with Doug Rice

Learn the fundamentals of residential garden design for the home owner with  Doug Rice, a landscape architect who taught garden design for over 20 years in the Seattle Community College system.

Doug's first class will discuss how to create a plan and how to "see" what you have and determine what you want. Class two teaches you the design process and how to apply it to your situation. Class three teaches the fundamentals of designing with plants. The fourth class will look at each student's plan for feedback and suggestions. The final class will take place in a nursery setting to show the process of designing garden vignettes using real plants. There is no substitute for designing with live plants in combination.

Each class is three hours long. Remember, if you have a plan, your project will tend to happen!

If your spouse, partner, or housemate would like to join you, then they can be added for $35 to work on the same design as yours. If you wish to work on two separate and different plans, then it will be the full price for each person.
