Tour is self-guided. Tickets include garden descriptions, driving directions, and a map.

    You have TWO DAYS to PEEK OVER THE FENCE at 5 beautiful West Valley gardens during the Yakima Area Arboretum's annual Garden Tour.

    So grab your hat and walking shoes and get ready to have some fun.

    You will have fun exploring Becky and Chawley's park-like grounds filled with hundreds of deciduous and conifer trees, hidden patios, artwork, pathways, pond and masonry work. 

     

    “Life of a Gardener”

    A lifelong gardener, Kim will inspire you with her amazing collection of trees and plants. Enjoy over 200 hostas, 90 “ish” Japanese maples, odd shrubs, and growing shade trees.  "Oh" and some of her finned friends.

    Surrounded by a 10 foot tall arbovitae hedge, the Hattrup's place has a "Secret Garden" feel about it.  You will enjoy exploring their completely enclosed vegetable garden and small orchard.

    Get ready for a visual and olfactory treat as you stroll through this beautiful garden filled with over 500 roses.  Candy and Rocke have added many new touches to this garden once owned by Candy's parents, Bob and Fran Sweesy, who were the driving forces behind the Arboretum's rose garden. 

     

    "Earth Angel's Garden"

    A white picket fence welcomes you to the Koverman garden, filled with perennial beds, pathways, an impressive retaining wall, artwork, and water features. Linda says that gardening is her therapy and her garden is her "happy place."

     

    All proceeds benefit the Yakima Area Arboretum.
