Montessori Schools of Massachusetts Spring Admissions Workshop

Please join MSM for our spring admissions event. As a compliment to our fall MSM Heads of School Retreat we have invited Dan Levine of Engaging Minds to return and work with admissions staff on "Word of Mouth Marketing". We hope you will be able to join us for this valuable presentation, lunch, and a follow-up admissions discussion.

This event is being offered, free of charge, as a benefit of your Montessori Schools of Massachusetts membership. Each school is invited to bring a maximum of two admissions staff to this event.

Registration closes on April 3rd at 5PM.

About the Speaker

Dan Levine has long thought that teaching students how to learn – study skills, organizational skills, time-management skills – is as important, if not more important, than teaching pure content. He firmly believes that if, as educators, we provide students with the right tools and learning strategies – combined with content support – we can help students more effectively and efficiently achieve their full potential. In November 2010, with the support of several outstanding educators, his vision became the foundation of Engaging Minds. As Dan likes to say: "Engaging Minds is much more than content support - it's tools for learning and skills for life."

Dan has a MBA degree from Boston University and a bachelor's degree from Connecticut College. He has worked as a marketing consultant and in schools for more than 17 years, and he began working on growing Engaging Minds full-time in 2011. Dan grew up in Newton and attended the Newton public schools. He is married to a first-grade teacher, Julie, and they live in Needham, MA with their daughter, Molly, and son, Zach.

The Workshop

Dan will be working with attendees on designing an implementing an effective word-of-mouth marketing campaign. The primary value of a word-of-mouth marketing campaign is to help people feel good about their school. Additional benefits include:

• Increase enrollment
• Reduce attrition
• Create positive "buzz" about the school in our community and the community at-large through informal conversation
• Reduce negative "buzz" in our community and the greater community at-large
• Share accurate and factual information to reduce misperceptions
