SubAla & WorkersFirst Convention 2023 

Our annual convention will be held at Sandestin Golf & Beach Resort in Miramar Beach, Florida from July 13-16, 2023. The staff has put together an exciting convention agenda and we look forward to seeing you and your family there!

SCHEDULE

THURSDAY, JULY 13

• 3:00-6:00 Check-In at The Grand lobby. Grab your welcome packet and gift.
• 3:00-6:00 Directors & Trustees Meeting. Only for SubAla & WF Board Members.
• 6:30-8:00 Welcome Reception. Come meet and mingle with everyone. We will have heavy appetizers and an open bar. Raffle prizes for all ages.
• 7:30 Kids Foam Party. Outside on The Grand lawn we will have a glow in the dark foam party and a DJ.
• 8:30 - ?? After party at Hammerheads. A group of us walk down to the Village area and grab tables at Hammerheads.

FRIDAY, JULY 14

• 8:00-8:45am Breakfast. Get a jump start to the day and join us for a buffet breakfast at the conference center.
• 8:45-9:15am SubAla Meeting. We will recognize our board's President, Bob Baker.
• 9:15-11:30am Business Session Meeting. We will have guest speaker, Jason Lee from Hand Arendall Harrison Sale, discussing a current issue in our industry.
• 1:00-4:00pm Beach Day. We have reserved an area on the white beaches of the emerald coast. We will have some chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and snacks.
• 7:00-10:00pm Beach Bonfire. After you grab dinner, come back to the beach and we will have two bonfires, s'mores, cornhole, and crab catching kits. We will end the night with fireworks.

SATURDAY, JULY 15

• 9:00am Golf Tournament (OPTIONAL). Enjoy a morning tournament on one of the resort's courses. Winning teams will be announced at dinner.
• 10:30-2:00 Pool Party. Bring your crew down to The Grand pool for some fun in the sun. We will have popsicles, coolers, and games for all. The hospitality suite will be open during this time for snacks.
• 6:30-10:00pm Derby Party. Dress to your nines, we are headed to the races! Get ready to bet on your favorite horse, vote on the best dressed, and enjoy some southern cooking. We will present our association's highest award, Chisenhall, and also draw the winners of our attendance award.
