About Jeffrey Adam & The Regatta

At just 22, Jeffrey Adam was lost to us as a result of a rare but virulent strain of bacterial meningitis. He was known as an intelligent, fun-loving, and loyal friend, an impressive high-jumper in high school and college, and a great junior sailor. Jeff was particularly interested in sharing his passions with younger friends, and many followed in his path because of his generous spirit.

The Jeffrey Adam Memorial Regatta is an annual event that is the result of the cooperation of Dana Point Yacht Club, Dana West Yacht Club, Mariners Sea Scouts and the sailing school in Dana Point Harbor.

Organized by the Dana Point Harbor Youth Foundation, this is an opportunity to support youth sailing and continue Jeff Adam's legacy. The regatta will be managed by Dana Point Yacht Club.

For this 8th Annual Regatta our goal is to raise $25,000.

Discount for yacht clubs and sailing organizations bringing more than 6 boats.  Contact us for details.

Rigging and launching will take place at the OC Sailng & Events Center located at 34451 Ensenada Place, Dana Point, CA 92629 directly across the harbor from Dana Point Yacht Club.

Trailer storage for the regatta will be at the designated area of the DPYC parking lot located at 24399 Dana Drive, Dana Point, CA 92629.

The 8th Annual Jeff Adam Memorial Regatta Dinner on Sunday, March 3 is a COMPLIMENTARY dinner.  However, we are asking that you come ready to help fund a scholarship in Jeff’s name.

Although this is a free dinner, reservations are absolutely required and RSVPs will only be open until Friday, March 1 at 12:00 noon. We will “sell out,” so reserve your seat early. No walk-ins at the door.
