Mingle with your friends and fellow CFA Society Victoria members. Warm up for Christmas!

Where: Little Jumbo
When: Wednesday, December 10
Time: - 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Doors open at 5pm
First round of tasting "White Lady" begins at 5:30 pm

This event is a fun cocktail education opportunity!  Nate Caudle, Little Jumbo’s start Bar Manager and published author of the now popular book “Cocktail Culture”, will be hosting a tour through 3 of his signature cocktails specially designed for this evening.  He will talk about the local cocktail community, the art of cocktails and food pairing - see sample menu below.

Seats are limited – please RSVP so that we could make it a perfect night for you and friends!

Register by December 9th!

Cocktail Sample Menu With Food Pairings

 -White Lady (Classic)-

London dry Gin, Cointreau, Lemon, Sugar

(Bright, clean, palate cleansing first cocktail showcasing the importance of balance of citrus/sweet) - shaken

Food pairing: Seared Scallop

 -Brooklyn (Classic)-

Rye, Maraschino, Dry Vermouth, Ramazotti

(A spirit forward follow up that is a close cousin of the Manhattan, and is the NY steak of this tasting menu; robust and savoury) – stirred

Food pairing: Braised beef cheek au jus

 -First Word (House cocktail)-

Reposado Tequila, Lemon, June liqueur, Yellow Chartreuse

(An interesting floral/herbaceous tequila sour to finish; an example of how complexity can boost how we think about what we are drinking.)

Food pairing: Seared Alaska Black Cod (“sablefish”)

Food bites will be served in a small dish or ceramic spoon.  Each “bite” will be fully composed. There may be a sorbet served between the Brooklyn and First Word as a palate cleanser.

This event is free for members, but please register and let us know that you are attending!  Please note there will be  a $45 fee for cancellations after December 7th.Register Now!
