Workshop: Vision, Mission, Core Values, and Planning  by Steve Wood

Vision, Mission, Core Values and Planning – What are they, Who Needs Them, and Why?

Entrepreneurs often start alone as they launch and  begin to grow their businesses. If they are successful, they attract stakeholders – customers, employees, and investors. Stakeholders are inspired by compelling mission and vision messages. Then they become more committed when they find core values and business plans that resonate with them. This session will introduce these topics and participants will leave with tools they can use to refine their mission and value messages and put plans together.

Participants will:

1.          Learn the purpose of and differences between mission and vision statements and how to write them.

2.          Understand how to articulate the core values of their business.

3.          Make a list of the key elements of their vision statement that includes one long-term goal.

4.          Learn the steps to develop a simple strategic plan with a template.
