Melissa LeVangie, Certified Arborist and Certified Tree Safety Professional, from RBI Corp | Shelter Tree will conduct a fun and lively gear inspection seminar that will:
Outline what to look for while conducting a gear inspection
  • Including: signs of wear and tear on climbing equipment and PPE: rope, prussic, harness, helmets, eye protection, hearing protection, hardware and more
  • Explain what is and is not acceptable in terms of safety
  • Walk through different equipment, it’s uses, and examples of wear and failure points
  • Provide the latest information available from manufacturer guidelines. When manufacturer’sguidelines are not provided industry standards will be referenced. 
This comprehensive seminar will give managers, crew leaders, and crews the tools to conduct gear inspections. 
A gear inspection checklist template will be provided as part of this service to ensure on-going documented gear inspections occur. 
During this seminar tree companies, climbers, and bucket operators should bring their climbing equipment that they use for daily operations to have inspected on site.
