The Prince George’s County Commission for Women in partnership with the Office of the County Executive, Prince George’s County Council, Prince George’s Community College, The Community Foundation for Prince George’s County and the Department of Family Services will host the 2013 Women’s Legislative Conference on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Prince George’s Community College.
The Prince George’s County Women’s Legislative Conference anticipates 700 women, college and high school student attendees including organizations, women in leadership and Commissions from throughout the State of Maryland and a host of elected legislators. The theme of the conference is “Educate, Empower, Engage” and its motto is “WE3 - Women Educated, Women Empowered, Women Engaged.” The goal of the Prince George’s Women’s Legislative Conference is to provide a forum that enables participants to hear from local, state and federal political leaders and participate in interactive panel discussions and presentations that educate, empower, and engage women both on and in legislative processes, advocacy and relevant policy issues.
