Join us at Region 8 Service Center for a presentation of evidence based medicine of how to properly care for a concussive injury from start to finish by following American Academy of Neurology, UIL, and SCAT 5 protocols.

Successful Completion Criteria: Attendance of the entire activity, completion of evaluation form, and completion of post-test

The objectives of this education activity are:

  -Increase knowledge about concussion injuries

-Improve knowledge for evaluation of concussive injuries

-Provide education to prevent second concussion injury

-Identify proper return to learn and play protocols

-Gain knowledge of SCAT 5 assessment

-Inform and understand indicators and common characteristics of concussive injuries

-Successfully acquire strategies for evaluation and management of head injuries 

To receive contact hours for this continuing education activity, the participant must:

  • Attend the entire 3 hour conference
  • Complete the evaluation
  • Complete the post-test

Once successful completion has been verified, a “Certificate of Successful Completion” will be awarded.
