Using Interactive Whiteboards to Develop Engaging Lessons (Member fee 0-Nonmember 35.00)

Speaker: Mark Helton

Target Audience: Experienced users of interactive whiteboards

PGES Connections: 1D, 1E, 3C

Description: The availability of interactive whiteboards is growing in schools across the state.  This hands-on, interactive session will lead participants through more advanced capabilities of the technology, followed by ideas for implementing their use in the classroom.  Participants will design engaging lessons applicable to their content areas.  Each participant should bring a curriculum map or lesson plans for the first few units of study in their course.  Each attendee will leave the session with at least one concrete lesson plan for immediate use in the classroom.  If you have already developed some lessons, please be prepared to share your ideas with the group.

Participants are requested to bring their own laptop with interactive whiteboard software pre-installed to the training.
