Description:

This hands-on, interactive workshop will explore the measurement and data standards for intermediate grades (3-5).  Scaffolded activities for math standards will be presented, as well as literacy connections.  These connections will help students gain a deeper understanding of concepts such as time, length, perimeter/area/volume, conversions, angles, and representing and interpreting data.  Various websites will be shared that provide support to teachers.  A portion of the workshop will provide time for participants to plan how they might incorporate the outcomes of the day into their instructional units.
