Target Audience: Any educators, therapists, families, or community agency partners working with students6th grade students and older.
Description: Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is an 8 hour training that is evidenced based and is designed to help participants feel confident and comfortable to approach a youth experiencing a mental health challenge, mental disorder, or a mental health crisis and then refer the youth to a professional if needed. The first aid is given until appropriate help is received or until the crisis resolves. Mental Health First Aid does not teach people to diagnose or to provide treatment. Lunch will be provided through the Project AWARE Grant.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.
Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session.
Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.
Attendance Policy:
If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.
Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
