Target Audience: Special education teachers, general education teachers that work with special education teachers and instructional coaches

14. Teach cognitive and metacognitive strategies to support learning and independence.

15. Provide scaffolded supports.

Description: 

The focus of this session is to explore various strategies for multiplication and division of whole numbers. Additionally, algorithms will be developed from concrete models.  The focus will not only be on learning the strategies, but understanding why they work and how to teach them.  Along the way, misconceptions about multiplication/division will be addressed.

At CKSEC, we love kids and families! Unfortunately, due to liability issues and professional decorum, children and other family members or friends are not permitted to attend our trainings.

Please get permission from CKEC prior to video or audio recording a portion or all of a CKEC session. 

Please dress in layers as it can be difficult to adjust the temperature.

Attendance Policy:

If you register to attend a session, but find you are unable to attend, please cancel your registration as early as possible. Space is limited and by canceling you will allow others to benefit from these highly qualified professional development opportunities. A fee could be assessed for no shows.

Districts will be notified of those who registered and did not attend or did not cancel prior to be session.
