The Power of a Positive No

About the Workshop:

For many of us, "no" is the hardest word to say. Is it because we have a strong desire to be liked? Is it because we've been socialized to value other people's needs and feelings more than our own? Is it because we don't want to seem rude? Learning to use your "no muscle" not only builds character and strength, it puts you in charge. This program will offer valuable information in the art of saying "no" while protecting and advancing your core interests without compromising relationships.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to say "no" clearly, effectively and gracefully
  • Improve your assertive communication skills
  • Learn how to resist aggression, manipulation and guilt tactics
  • Understand the importance of self-care and respecting your limit
  • Learn the power of a positive "No"

The program uses principals from the William L. Ury's best seller, The Power of a Positive No
