Trek to the Trinity June 1st Wear long pants and closed toed shoes because we're walking to the East Fork of the Trinity River and learning about the history of the area along the way! This is the only class not accesssible by wheelchairs or strollers.
We Love Bats! June 15th Bats are an important part of our ecosytem. We will be learning about our favorite flying mammal and making a batty craft project as part of the class.
Fur: Wildlife Fashion? June 29th Families will have the opportunity to handle pelts of actual mammals as we learn about the many functions of fur.
Metamorphosis: What a Change! July6th Students will learn about this amazing life cycle and then head out onto the boardwalk to observe metamorphosis taking place at the wetland!
Dragonfly Safari July 20th Students will learn amazing facts about these jeweled flyers of the wetland before heading out on a scavenger hunt to see how many species they can observe at the wetland!
Kid's Outdoor Survival Aug 3rd What should kids take on a day hike, and what to they do if they get lost? We'll be learning these topics and more in addition to practicing some survival skills while out on the boardwalk.
The cost is $8 per person; this includes all children over 4 years of age and their accompanying adults. Space is limited, and online registration is required for attendance.
