5K Mountain Goat Run/Walk/Hike at Granite Gorge
5K Trail: (See highlighted trail: Trail Loop is done 4 times for 5k Run) Trail begins just before "Bunny Buster" (on left side of map) and continues Right to "Deer Run East" to "Deer Run West" to "Zig Zag" through to "Sunset" (blue trail) back to base. If you are running as a 2-person Relay Team, each participant must run any two laps and doesn't need to be consecutive)
Family Fun Climb & Events: For just $10 per family, you have unlimited access to our 300 ft "Fun Climb" challenge ("Tubing Park" trail), Obstacle Course, and Friendly Live Goats to pet and feed. This climb is not timed and can be done anytime between 9am-11am. Registration is Race Day Only.
Come scramble up GRANITE GORGE SKI MOUNTAIN however you like...RUN, WALK, or HIKE the 5K Trail or bring the family for the 300 foot Unlimited "Fun Climb" up the tubing park hill (go up/down as many times as you can) and also enjoy the Free kid's obstacle course at the bottom.
The race is officially timed and Prizes will be given for male/female runner winners in six age categories. We are also offering a special 2-person runner relay team option as well (runners must be of the same gender, but may be in different age categories). A prize will be given to the best overall "Male" and "Female" 2-person relay team regardless of age category. So, this would be a fun opportunity for parents and children to run together or runners "in training". Each runner runs 2 of the 4 laps each in any order (~0.8 mile per lap).
Registration Fees/Timing:
- Runners/Walkers: $20 (by Tues 10/4); $25 (Day of Race)
- 2-person Runner Relay Team: $20 (by Tues 10/4); $25 (Day of Race) Register names individually and check box for "Relay Team" and include your partner's name. You will then be linked for the race day run. Teams can consist of both males or females, or opposite sex teams.
- Fun Climb $10/Family: Unlimited Fun Climb/Obstacle Course/PettingFarm; (Race Day registration only).
T-Shirts given to the first 150 registered Runners and Walkers (no shirts for Fun Climb).
