Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta/ Alliance Française d'Atlanta Auditorium

This year we'll be celebrating with the theme Language Proficiency & Cultural Competency: Where do they take us?, focusing on how learning a second or third language broadens your world view, and impact your future education and career.

We'll be celebrating with:

  • Keynote speaker, Jon Valentine, Director of Foreign Languages, Gwinnett County Public Schools, who will discuss how having a knowledge of other cultures and languages can help in your career,
  • a panel discussion and Q&A with guests who will discuss how knowledge of intercultural relations and world languages have helped advance their personal career,
  • a competition where students will be asked to submit a 4 minute video in the target language focusing on the theme "I'm Fluent. Now what?" For contest guidelines, please click here. Deadline for submissions is 11:59pm on Sunday, September 18, 2016

This is a great opportunity for students across Atlanta and the surrounding areas to broaden their horizons and think outside of the box when it comes to their futures. You'll also get the chance to mix and mingle with some of the areas leading international business professionals.

Event and competition details can be found on our websites, www.goethe.de/atlanta or www.afatl.com.
