If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, then NSA-MN Speakers Academy may be for you!
NSA-Minnesota is proud to offer comprehensive educational programming designed to teach the business of professional speaking. Four programs (“Levels”) are offered, each delivering content and instruction for speaking professionals at different points in their speaking careers.
LEVEL ONE: Building a Foundation
Participants in this program share two common goals: determining whether a career as a professional, paid speaker is the right choice for them, and learning how to become a professional, paid speaker. Subjects include professional awareness, topic development, platform mechanics, initial sales and marketing, and building important professional relationships.
LEVEL TWO: Increasing Income and Impact
Participants in this program will work towards answering two key questions: How can I have an even bigger impact as an emerging speaker? –and- How do I increase my income as a professional speaker? Subjects include presentation and performance, expanded sales and marketing, authorship and product development, and business management.
Levels One and Two both consist of EIGHT evening sessions held on the first Monday evening of the month, from October to May. Location: St. Louis Park. Each course is facilitated by two NSA-MN members with occasional guest speakers. Both Levels One and Two will require additional, individual work done outside of scheduled class time.
LEVEL THREE: Qualifying for NSA Membership
Receive FOUR private coaching sessions with a qualified NSA member –plus- participate in FOUR group sessions facilitated by the Speakers Academy Dean. Private coaching will focus on refining and strengthening your primary speaking program; group sessions will focus on navigating the membership qualification process. This program is scheduled individually and designed for professionals who are currently speaking for a fee.
LEVEL FOUR: Mastery Coaching Receive SIX private sessions with a Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) in order to retool or enhance an existing program, supercharge your sales and marketing, or tackle new product development.
