Cultivating Generous Congregations 

United Church of Christ Michigan Conference and Lake Institute on Faith & Giving invite you and your ministry teams to participate in a seminar experience that could change the way you and your congregation approach giving and generosity.

Cultivating Generous Congregations is a two-day interactive seminar, demonstrating how pastors and ministry leaders can unearth and energize congregational generosity by exploring the significant and necessary steps to creating lasting cultural change within a congregation.

Event Times: 

Saturday, February 29th: 9:00 a.m. Registration  -  Event begins @ 10:00 a.m. and goes until 7:00 p.m.

Sunday, March 1st:  8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (may dismiss a little earlier)

This course is intended for those who:

  • Believe in their congregation's capacity for greater generosity;
  • Have a desire to become more comfortable with money;
  • Are willing to redefine giving in your congregation; and 
  • Understand giving to include service, social networks and the sharing of ideas and professional expertise.

Presenters:

Rev. Andy DeBraber serves as Generosity Officer for the United Church of Christ, securing major gifts from across the country for all ministries of the national setting and leading workshops on philanthropy & stewardship. After being a local church pastor, he led an organization working with homelessness from the brink of closure, back to health. He resides in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Rev. Andrew B. Warner, CFRE, serves as a Generosity Outreach Officer of the national setting of the UCC. In that role he trains, coaches, and mentors conference and congregational leaders across the country to strengthen the culture of generosity in the UCC. Andrew also serves as President & CEO of the UCC Foundation of Wisconsin.

Registration:  As you fill out the online registration form, please select each appropriate number of registrants from your church in each fee section of the form.

$100 for one participant from a church

* $150 for two participants from the same church:

*If you have two people registering from the same church, make sure the 2nd participant chooses "2nd participant from same Church" under the FEE section of the form. The total for 2 people should be $150.

** $200 for 3 - 5 participants from the same church: 

**If you have 3 or more people registering from the same church, please select the appropriate increment under the FEE section for each entry. Folks registering up to 5 people from the same church get a break on registration fees for their 4th and 5th registrants! For 3 to 5 people registering from the same church the total should be $200 at the end of your registration.

Space is limited! Deadline to register is February 7, 2020.
