ABOUT OUR PROGRAM

The optometric profession has and will continue to expand the scope of practice.  As such, the need for advanced training and education in the diagnosis and management of ophthalmic conditions continues to grow.  These conditions are not only limited to ocular disease, but also functional vision disorders, neuro-ophthalmic disease and the recognition of ocular manifestations of varying systemic conditions and associated treatments.

This program features EIGHT hours of COPE approved continuing education.  Outstanding clinicians and educators will dicuss new and evidence-based approaches in the treatment and management of ophthalmic disorders affecting anterior and posterior segments, s ystemic disease, neuro-ophthalmic pathways, and functional vision.  It will also feature our residents, who will present two sessions of rapid fire grand rounds.

RESIDENCY PROGRAM

Salus University manages one of the nation's largest residency programs.  We offer post-graduate training in primary care, ocular disease, vision rehabilitation, pediatrics/vision therapy, and contact/cornea lenses.  Currently there are twelve in-house residents at The Eye Institute and twenty-five affliated residents, at various locations covering northern New Jersey through Tampa, Florida.  Our residents receive excellent training while providing patient care to large and diagnostically diverse population, rotating among specialized clinical services, attending lectures and presenting at scientific meetings.

Fee:  $200.00
