Why Don't Board Members Do What They're Supposed to Do?

It's the perennial lament from nonprofit executives: "why don't board members do what they're supposed to do?"

Finally... an answer to this enduring question AND the tools you need to improve board member performance!

Join AFP Big Bend for an exciting lunch & learn with business-performance consultant Hardy Smith on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

Session attendees will learn:
· How to recruit good board members with purpose and process.
· Identifying actions to avoid relationship mistakes.
· Re-thinking engagement expectations.
· Recognizing the realities of board member fundraising.

Networking will begin at 11:30 AM and lunch will be served at 11:45 AM.

Event registration is $20 for AFP members in good standing, and $25 for non-members. A $5 late fee will be assessed for registrations after Friday, December 8th.

Note: Enter the venue at the West Pensacola Street entrance inside the garage, on the top level of the Kleman Plaza parking garage. Parking will be validated, so please be sure to bring your ticket with you.

While he is in town, Hardy has also offered to provide 1 hour, private consults for local organizations interested in moving their board and/or staff performance to the next level. Each consultation is $150 for AFP members in good standing, and $200 for non-members.
