Hello ECD Medical Community!

The MD Anderson Cancer Center will be hosting the 3rd Annual International ECD Medical Symposium on their campus in Houston, TX on October 8, 2015. You can register here for the Symposium and related events.

The ECD Global Alliance invites you to join us for a Medical Professional Social on the evening preceding the Symposium.  Additionally, we will be hosting a Medical Professional and Patient/Family Dinner on the evening of the Symposium.  We also hope you will be interested in participating in the 3rd Annual International Patient and Family Gathering to be held on the days following the Symposium. 

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL SOCIAL

The ECD-GA will be hosting a Medical Professional Social on October 7, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, the evening prior to the ECD Medical Symposium.  This social gathering will be an opportunity for fellowship among the Medical Symposium attendees and the ECD-GA Board of Directors.  We hope you will register to attend.

ECD MEDICAL SYMPOSIUM

The ECD Medical Symposium, scheduled for 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on October 8, 2015, will be hosted by the MD Anderson Cancer Center.  If you are interested in presenting at this event, please email your abstract to Filip Janku, MD. The deadline for participation and abstract submittal is July 31, 2015.  Dr. Janku can be contacted via email or phone.

ECD MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL AND FAMILY DINNER

The ECD-GA Dinner will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Houston Marriott Medical Center Hotel.  This is a time for medical professionals, the patients and their families to meet and to share their experiences and stories about ECD.  The dinner is also a way for the ECD-GA to say thank you to all the dedicated members and physicians who continue the fight against ECD.  We would be pleased and grateful for your attendance.

ECD PATIENT AND FAMILY GATHERING

The ECD-GA Patient and Family Gathering, scheduled for October 9-11, 2015, will be an opportunity for patients to hear from medical professionals about treatments, trials and research.  We would be honored if you could attend and share your knowledge with patients and family members.

The registration fee will be waived for the Wine Social and the Patient and Family Gathering for those who are attending the ECD Medical Symposium hosted by MDA.  However, we do ask that you register as soon as possible to allow the ECD-GA to plan appropriately and thus allow unrestricted attendance. 

LODGING INFORMATION

The ECD-GA has contracted with the Houston Marriott Medical Center Hotel in Houston, TX to secure meeting rooms and lodging.  Please consider staying at the Marriott Medical Center using the information listed on the left to reserve your room.  The negotiated room rates are $129/night.  Staying at this hotel will be a convenient location for attendees and will help the ECD-GA meet its contractual obligations.
