Please join us for our January 2019 AFCEA San Diego Luncheon Event at the Admiral Baker Clubhouse. Our  featured Speaker is Mr. Simon Smith, Deputy Program Manager International C4I, PMW 740. 

Mr. Simon Smith serves as the deputy program manager for the Program Executive Office Command, Control, Communications, Computers  and  Intelligence  (PEO  C4I)  International  C4I Integration Program Office in San Diego, California.  In this capacity, Mr. Smith provides integrated C4I solutions for international customers in support of U.S. national security and foreign policy objectives.

Previously, Mr. Smith served as the Assistant Program Manager for Engineering (APME) for Tactical Command and Control Systems at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR). As a SPAWAR Engineering Competency member, he was embedded in the PEO C4I Command and Control Systems Program Office (PMW 150), where he advised on engineering matters related to the shipboard integration, operation and monitoring of tactical datalinks; engineering development for modernization of tactical communication systems; integration with shipboard combat systems; and alignment with Systems Engineering standards, instructions and best practices.

Mr. Smith holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the George Washington University School of Engineering and Applied Science.  He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland. He is a graduate of the NAVAIR Senior Executive Management Development Program and a member of the Acquisition Professional Community.   He holds Level III DAWIA certifications in Program Management, Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering, and Life Cycle Logistics.
