Michael Genetti, CLU, ChFC, Baystate Financial - As a Financial Planner, Mr. Genetti assists individuals, families, and business owners in defining their financial goals  and achieving financial freedom. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Bates College and has continued his professional education by attaining his Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant designations from The American College. This underscores his determination to provide his clients with access to the information, services, and products necessary to implement effective financial strategies. He is an active member in The Society of Financial Services Professionals, The Rhode Island Estate Planning Council and The Partnership for Philanthropic Planning Rhode Island.   Mr. Genetti has no disclosures.
Frank Lavoie, MD, MBA, President, Medical Mutual Insurance Company of Maine - Dr. Lavoie has been the President & CEO of Medical Mutual Insurance Company of Maine for 8 years. Prior to this appointment, he had a long career in hospital administration with responsibilities overseeing all clinical and non-clinical inpatient and outpatient services.  Dr. Lavoie has also previously held full-time professorships at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, where he developed and directed the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Parkland Hospital.   Dr. Lavoie has no disclosures.
David Herzer, Jr., Vice President of Claims, Medical Mutual Insurance Company of Maine - Mr. Herzer joined Medical Mutual in March of 2021.  For 28 years he practiced law at Norman, Hanson & DeTroy.  As a practicing attorney, he handled insurance coverage disputes and got to know the Claims Department staff defending malpractice lawsuits for Medical Mutual's member-insureds. He has committed many years of voluntary service to the Maine Judicial Branch and the Board of Bar Overseers and has served as a member of the Boards of Directors for various local nonprofit organizations. Born and raised in the Cleveland, Ohio, area, he attended the University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989. He later earned a Juris Doctorate at the University of Maine School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 1992. Mr. Herzer has no disclosures.
Emily Bloch, Esq., Norman, Hanson & DeTroy - Emily Bloch, Esq. joined Norman, Hanson & DeTroy, LLC in 1997 after practicing at another Portland law firm for seven and a half years. As a member of the professional litigation practice group, she concentrates her practice on representing the interests of health care providers statewide before state licensure boards and against medical negligence claims. Her clients include insureds of Maine’s leading medical malpractice insurer as well as the country’s leading provider of professional liability insurance to oral and maxillofacial surgeons. She also provides general advice to health care providers.  Ms. Bloch has no disclosures.
Mark Lavoie, Esq. Norman Hanson & DeTroy - Mr. Lavoie joined the practice in 1979 where he provides advice and representation in civil  case trials before judge and jury.  Mr. Lavoie holds an Honorary Membership in the Canadian Bar Association, and he is a Diplomate of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He has been rated in the highest tier of professional achievement in the leading bar directories, including Chambers, Benchmark Litigation, Martindale-Hubbell, and Best Lawyers in America, which named him the best personal injury lawyer in his community in 2011 and the best malpractice defense lawyer in 2012. Mark also has been designated one of the top 100 trial lawyers in New England in the Super Lawyers Directory for 2017.  Mr. Lavoie has no disclosures.
Elisabeth Fowlie Mock, MD, MPH, FAAFP, Physician Educator and MICIS Faculty – Dr. Mock is a self-employed consultant living in Bangor, Maine.  She attended Colby College, Emory University, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine and obtained a Master’s in Public Health at UNC-Chapel Hill.  She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine.  She works primarily as a clinical educator as well as a per diem hospitalist and buprenorphine prescriber.  Dr. Mock has no disclosures.

Marwa Hassanien, MS, M.Ed., Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Northern Light Health - Ms. Hassanien and her husband, and their four children have called Bangor their home since 2005. Marwa, the daughter of Egyptian immigrants, grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma before moving to the East Coast with her husband. She earned her Master’s Degree in Curriculum, Assessment, and Instruction from the University of Maine and is a Doctoral student in the Literacy Education program, where she was an adjunct faculty member.  She is currently the System Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Northern Light Health and a Tutor Trainer for the Literacy Volunteers of Bangor. She also serves on the Boards of Directors of the Maine Multicultural Center, the Auxiliary of the Penobscot County Medical Society, and the Good Shepherd Food Bank. Additionally, she was elected to serve a 3-year term on the Bangor School Committee in November 2019 and is currently the Chairwoman. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, running, and taking boxing classes.

Gregory Marley, LCSW, Director of Suicide Prevention, Maine National Alliance of Mental Illness - Mr. Marley has practiced in the field of community mental health and prevention in Maine for over 25 years, as a clinician, clinical supervisor, manager, and consultant.  Since 2007, he has developed and presented training and education supporting the needs of a diverse set of statewide partners in suicide prevention and systems integration of prevention activities.  Since 2013 he has worked closely with schools, primary care practices, hospitals, and mental health programs to support the development and integration of protocols and processes integrating suicide prevention and management.   Mr. Marly has no disclosures.
Alton Kremer, MD - Dr. Kremer is a board-certified pediatrician who graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1981, where he earned his M.D. and Ph.D. in Biochemistry. He also holds a B.A. degree from Wesleyan University with a major in Chemistry. Most recently, Dr. Kremer served as Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Medical Officer, Oncology Business Group, Eisai Inc., until his retirement last year. Dr. Kremer receives a pension from Johnson & Johnson, has stock  in johnson & Johnson, Roche Holding, and a consulting contract with Sumitomo Dainippon Oncology Pharma. All relevant financial relationships mitigated. 
Charles Pattavina, MD, MICIS Faculty – Dr. Pattavina, MD, FACEP joined MICIS in 2019 and has received Academic Detailer training from the National Resource Center for Academic Detailing (NaRCAD)  He received his MD from Boston University School of Medicine and attended Boston College.  Dr. Pattavina is a Past President of the Maine Medical Association and was the medical director and chief of emergency medicine at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor.  He also has served on the board of the American College of Emergency Physicians.  Dr. Pattavina has no disclosures.
