Norcross Gun Club & Range, "INTRODUCTION TO THE AR-15 RIFLE" Friday June 15th, 2018 5 - 9 PM 

 

This course, taught by one of our advanced instructors, is for the student new to the AR-15 Rifle.  This class includes a mix of classroom and live-fire range instruction.  Although basic, this is a very comprehensive course and a great starting point for someone looking to improve their skills and knowledge of the AR-15.  Some of the topics covered in this course are:

 

1. Safety
2. Brief History of the AR-15
3. Function and Operation
4. Calibers
5. Sight Adjustment
6. Disassembly and Maintenance
7. Uses
8. Basic Shooting Positions

Students are encouraged, but not required, to bring their own UNLOADED AR-15 rifle if they choose.  This course satisfies the prerequisite for our Rifle/Pistol Transition Course.

All students will receive the following:  Certificate of Completion, 3 boxes (60 rds) of .223 ammunition (other calibers available for additional cost), class handouts (if applicable), and one free range day pass.  Additionally, eye and hearing protection along with range guns will be provided for use during the course if needed.
