Tuning to God: An Introduction to Centering Prayer

 Most of us don’t live in monasteries where prayer is regular, scheduled, and intricately woven into the pattern of life.  Our lives tend to be more of the “filled with noise” variety!

We can, however, learn to break our habitual ways of seeing and succumbing to distraction by fidelity to a brief, simple prayer practice with deep roots in the Christian tradition: Centering Prayer.

 This daily tuning of our hearts to the nudgings of God can build our resilience and equanimity, making the “demands of other people and relentless daily duties” less of a burden.  Come to learn about and experience this simple, yet profound prayer practice.  Come to know how brief interior silence can both be done and bear fruit in the world.

Registration is $25 when received by February 17; $30 thereafter. Light refreshments and materials are included.
