January 2023 General Meeting: The Sites Reservoir Project 

As California needs to address its statewide water management challenges by implementing innovative solutions that address our state’s need for a sustainable water supply, the Sites Reservoir Project is a part of the solution. Sites Reservoir is an environmentally beneficial, off-river reservoir that will capture excess water from major storms and save it for drier periods, helping California’s farms, businesses and cities continue to supply reliable water when other sources are low. Sites Reservoir will greatly increase flexibility, reliability and resiliency of statewide water supplies in drier periods. Come join us and learn more about how Sites Reservoir will function as the backbone to both the Central Valley Project and the State Water Project.

Jerry Brown, Executive Director, Sites Water Project. Mr. Brown oversees the Sites Reservoir project development supported by a multi-disciplined team of consultants, contractors, and experts. He is the Founder and CEO of Waterology Consulting. His 36 years of experience includes planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of water, wastewater and water recycling systems for urban areas. His work has spanned the public and private sector within various utilities in California. Mr. Brown is a registered Civil and Mechanical Engineer in California. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University at Northridge, a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern California, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from California State University at San Jose.
