Put your boots on, grab your hat, and saddle up! It’s time to sign up for Camp David’s 10th annual Banquet for Hope!!  Come join us for this special night of live music, inspirational stories from campers and moms, and an opportunity to give hope.  One in 28 children in America have a parent in prison and 70% of them are ending up in prison themselves. Don’t miss this complimentary banquet where you will have the opportunity to stop the generational train of incarceration and take the children where they belong.

Reserve your seats now!

To guarantee seating, please respond by January 23rd!

KEYNOTE SPEAKER:

Our Speaker this year is a Nick Robbins, a Reentry Specialist who works the Arkansas Department of Correction in assisting prisoners as they enter and leave the prison system. But Robins was not always on the right side of the law.

Robbins’ grew up as the son of a corporate salesman in middle class America. But in 2000 was sentenced to prison at the young age of seventeen for Armed Robbery in Iowa. Hitting rock bottom, God began a radical change in Robbins’ life and upon his release in August of 2007 Robbins was hired by Shelterwood as a Residential Care Staff working with troubled teens. Robbins currently lives in Branson, Missouri with his wife Kelly, and two children.

As a man who’s been knocked out of the saddle, stepped on, and gotten back up, we believe Robins will inspire you with hope, compassion, and grit to get the job done.

What is Camp David of the Ozarks?

Camp David of the Ozarks is an non-profit organization dedicated to giving hope to children of prisoners. This inter-denominational organization works with Angel Tree to contact children of inmates and invite them to camp.

CDO is located 10 miles south of Rolla and serves prisoner’s families within a  2 hour radius of Rolla. This includes the local towns of Rolla, Newburg, St. James, as well as Jefferson City, St. Louis and St. Robert. There are well over 3,000 children of prisoners ages 8-16 within this area. CDO hosted 209 campers in 2014, and celebrated their 11th anniversary this fall.
