Starting your own business? Being in business on your own is an American dream, but it isn't easy. While the number of small business startups has been increasing every year, most fail within the first three years.
Our workshop offers essential information to help you succeed. We will cover the basics of assessing your business plans and ideas. If being in business on your own is your goal, but you're not sure where to begin, this workshop is for you!

Your Presenter - Josh Saunders
Josh Saunders currently works with a variety of businesses, utilizing his experiences in operations and executive level management to help them to identify, explore and capitalize on new opportunities, while optimizing current processes. Josh has served as the Senior Operations Director for a national engineering firm, led the sales and marketing efforts of a regional modular home builder and served as President of a multi-million dollar wood products manufacturer. Josh has also counseled small business and entrepreneurs both as a SCORE volunteer and a full-time counselor with the Maine Small Business Development Centers.
Josh received his AB in Engineering from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and his MBA from the University of Southern Maine in Portland. Josh loves to ski, having learned to do so at the age of 3, at the end of a dog leash, and is very happy that his two children are now learning to ski as well, as he will have a valid excuse to ski on a more regular basis. Josh, his wife and their two children live in Cumberland, Maine.
