Program Summary:

The younger generation who is coming into the workforce (known as Generation Y) has different values and expectations to any generation before them. Highly educated, technologically savvy and enthusiastic to learn, this generation has a huge potential to perform, but a very different concept of what "long-term" means, and how they see their career path. This is an issue that companies cannot afford to ignore as not only will the majority of their workforce soon be under the age of 40…but so will their clients. Join this BCHRMA webinar for learning around generational differences, what companies around the world are doing to attract and retain this generation, and how current corporate messaging needs to change to attract the under 35s.

You Will Learn:

  • Identifying internal issues and concerns with younger employees
  • Examples of what other companies are doing around the world
  • How to reformat language used around "long-term" rewards; creating short-term merit-based incentives
  • How to motivate potential leaders, and create leadership opportunities
  • Questions to ask yourself and your organization about supporting this generation in your workplace
