Surgery Continuing Education Event at 94 West in Orland Park
| Topic: Focal and Linear Intestinal Obstruction - How to Manage? Pitfalls? |
Join us for a RACE-approved CE event for all DVM and technicians presented by our surgeon, Alex Warrak, DVM, MSc, PhD. This lecture will enable participants to develop a decision-making algorithm to deal with common cases of intestinal obstruction. The participant will be able to prepare the pet for the surgical procedure, understand principles of gentle tissue handling, limitation of contamination, preservation of blood supply and appropriate apposition for successful intestinal healing. We hope you will be able to join us!
RACE Approval:
This event is open to DVM's and technicians. This lecture is approved for 1.5 RACE credits.

More Information on Alex Warrak, DVM, 
MSc, PhD:
Alex obtained his veterinary degree at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, his master's degree at the Federal University of Santa Maria and his PhD at the University of Zürich. In addition, he received his Diploma in Laboratory Animal Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College and completed his Residency in Small Animal Surgery at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
