Topic:  Polyuria/Polydipsia or PEE PEE


Polyuria/polydipsia (PU/PD) is a common reason for both dogs and cats to present to a veterinarian.  There are approximately 25 diseases that can lead to polyuria and polydipsia.  We will review the methodical approach to the diagnosis of PU/PD.

More information about Dr. Bob Vasilopulos: 

Dr. Vasilopulos earned his DVM degree from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He practiced in the Chicagoland area for 8 years before completing a residency and masters degree in small animal internal medicine at Mississippi State University. His thesis and research involved Giardia infections in cats. After completing his residency he was the head of the internal medicine department and the director of the internship program for 8 years in Tucson, Arizona. He has been an internal medicine consultant for Veterinary Information Network (VIN) for 10 + years. He enjoys all aspects of internal medicine but gastroenterology, infectious diseases, and hematology are included in his areas of interest. When Dr Vasilopulos isn’t working he enjoys scuba diving, golfing and rooting for all Chicago sports teams especially the Chicago Cubs.
