2021 Beach Doubles League (4-8th Grade)

Join us for another season of TVA Beach Doubles!

This League is geared towards those players who are just beginning their Beach Doubles journey, have played a little and are looking to improve their outdoor game with a partner of their choice. New this year, we are offering Beginner & Intermediate divisions to give teams the opportunity to play same skilled teams more often, making for more competitive play. Please select the division you feel fits you best. Beach Director has the right to change your team to a different division should the need arise.

Beginner Division: Brand new to Beach Doubles and are getting a feel for how much fun (and work) this great game is! Rules will be modified for this division (step in rule for serving, required 2 or 3 touches, smaller court) to create more opportunites for touches.  

Intermediate Division: Newer to Beach Doubles or have only played a season or two. Getting 3 touches happens, but the contact over is usually a pass or an attack on the ground. Serving is from the baseline.

This League will have clinic drills at the beginning for both divisions to help with ball control and strategy. Each week, we will shorten the amount of drill work so play becomes more of a priority at the end. The drill work gives players a chance to practice parts of the game that are weaker due to ball control, outdoor elements (sun/wind), and moving in the sand. These drills will help the game play become stronger over time.
