Lean Manufacturing
Fundamentals Training
This one-day, highly interactive workshop familiarizes participants in the basic principles of Lean Process Management. In a simulated, manufacturing environment, workshop participants progressively implement Lean tools to experience a transition from a traditional production floor to an efficient Lean environment. Ultimately, their experiences result in the dramatic impact of a Lean Transformation from the traditionally organized workplace to a more productive and efficient one by eliminating process wastes. Participants continuously track progress of improvements by collecting data and monitoring performance measures through all the simulations.
Using techniques to engage adult learners, this workshop will help participants:
The course is an overview of the achievable impact by identifying and eliminating process wastes. Implementing Lean practices gives you an advantage over competitors and improves your bottom line performance. The process begins by eliminating the eight wastes inherent in traditional manufacturing and assembly environments.
The following Lean concepts are among those introduced and applied: 5s, Teamwork, Point of Use Storage, Demand Pull, Process Layout, Mistake-Proofing, Cellular Flow, Set-up Reduction, Quality at the Source.
