All CCC ladies (and guests) are invited to join us for an extended time of fellowship and spiritual encouragement! Our goal is that everyone would leave spiritually and relationally refreshed. Our theme will be Unity and not Uniformity. We will be looking to discover how we can be a unified body of believers while championing each other's gift's, talents and callings. We will have large group time together and will be offering smaller workship sessions based on your area of interest.
The sessions include:
Large Group:
We are called to be unified in our pursuits and service of Christ, but God creates us uniquely to beautify that unity. We can sometimes, however, feel threatened by God-given differences and allow these differences to keep us apart rather than united. Using illustrations from their own friendship, Aimee and Christine will share how we can fight for and promote unity amogn the church even while we champion one another's differences.
Break Out sessions:
How do we love the unloveable - those who are our enemies, those who do us wrong? But even more so, how do we love our brothers and sisters who may look different, act different, or come from different backgrounds? And how do we do it in a way that shows the world that we are Christ's disciples (John 13:35)? Let's come together to learn how believing in God's love for us and abiding in that love transforms how we love others.
Conflict is difficult. How can we learn to be peacemakers (Matt 5:9) in a world that is full of personal conflict? In this session you will learn about how to deal with conflict as believers so that we can live out unity in our families, our church and our world.
Do you ever feel like your identity is constantly defined by you roles and responsibilities? Do you sometimes feel like you can't relate to others who don't think or act like you do? Do you ever struggle with the catergory you find yourself in (married, single, SAHM, working mom, etc) and wish you could break out of the burden of the label and be free to be the person God made you to be? Join us for this session as we explore our primary identity as image bearers of God and how we can defy categorization.
As Christians, we know that our identities should be rooted in Christ and not the world around us. But yet believers of all ages and life stages continue to fall into the trap of comparison. We will discuss different types of comparison, the underlying motivations to compare, and the ramifications of comparison to us as individuals and to the church body as a whole. We will loook to scripture not only for examples of what happens when we give in to comparison but also for clused about what we can do to battle the temptation to compare.
