7th Annual Afterschool Conference
"Find Your Pot Of Gold...Discover The Value
of Your Profession"
The District School Board of Pasco County's PLACE Program, invites you to join other afterschool providers for a day of comprehensive professional development opportunities. You will select from a variety of workshops focusing on topics that are important for administration, site based management or front line direct care providers. View the latest in resources and meet vendors in the exhibit area, network and interact with your peers and colleagues while enhancing your knowledge of common interests and challenges in the profession of school age child care.
Your registration includes the full day of workshops, lunch, free exhibit area, fabulous opening and Keynote speakers and other fun activities sprinkled throughout the day! Training certificates will be provided for each registrant at the conclusion of the days activities and CEU's will be available for a nominal fee. This is a day you don't want to miss.
Opening Presentation
Steve Turner, Founder of Giving Tree Music will be joining us this year!
Giving Tree Music has been traveling across the United states making music and building community for over 20 years! At Giving Tree Music- their mission is to bring people together using the drum as a vehicle. It doesn't matter who you are, you can connect with those around you.
Get ready to be energized as we drum, dance, sing and laugh together at our opening presentation!
Keynote Speaker
Greg Snow has served the after school community for over 16 years and has dedicated his time to create outstanding after school opportunities in his community. Having founded the After School Programs Department for the Central Florida YMCA Greg accepted a position with After School Programs Inc. and has served as their Regional Director for the past 9 years. He currently oversees 30 programs in Central Florida. Greg also serves on the executive board for the Florida Afterschool Alliance, trains afterschool professionals around the State of Florida and really understands what it takes to serve children and families in afterschool.
Greg is passionate about training and feels that every member of an after school team is an important asset to that program and should be treated like a professional. Greg will help you "Find your Pot of Gold and Discover the Value of Your Profession!" with his engaging keynote presentation.
