Thursday, February 23, 2017

6:15pm - 9:00pm at Hinsdale Middle School

Students - share something you have written.  Each 3rd - 8th grade student who participates that evening will have an opportunity to read his or her original written work to a small group of peers. Students will be able to share something they have created and also offer their peers feedback, encouragement and support in their writing.

Students and familiy members - participate in fun Learning Sessions about different aspects of writing.  Topics will include:  "Creating a Memorable Character" - "How to Get Published" - "Jump Start Your Writing" - "Creating Graphic Novels"  and more...

Everyone - meet author Chris Rylander and learn about how he became a writer and where he got the ideas for his books.

Everyone - join the fun at the Open Mike Coffee House - students, parents, teachers- grab some refreshments and sign up to share a poem, prose or song that you love with the whole group.  It doesn't have to be your work (but it could be!)- just something you love.
