In 2021, fun is coming back into our lives! We’ve missed sampling delicious food and watching traditional dances at our Taste of Haiti event. But, we found a new way to get together and enjoy ourselves playing a game of Trivial Pursuit while learning more about our sister parish. Come for the game and stay to find out all the good that our partnership is doing for the less fortunate. This is a fun way to contribute to the success of our partnership.
Do you wonder how children of Haiti are receiving their education during the COVID-19 pandemic? Are they able to attend virtual classes from home? Are they foregoing education altogether? Join Let’s Play for Haiti! Watch and hear members of the community of Zoranje speak to their daily lives. Have fun at this exciting event and be a cheerful part of the solution to real-world problems.
Agenda:
- Game of Trivial Pursuit
- Auction for a high-end Weber gas grill, utensils, and $200 gift card for grilling meats (a $1500 value)
- Presentation of the Citadelle Laferrière and of the royal palace of Sans-Souci
- Discussion of Haiti through the Coronavirus pandemic with Fr. Cid
- Interview with Father Dominique and members of our Sister Parish
- Announcement of Trivial Pursuit Winner
Watch the game as a family, play as a family using one single cell phone number for the group or play individually using multiple cell phone numbers for more chances to win the game of Trivial Pursuit. You do not have to play to attend.
The game of Trivial Pursuit consists of 16 questions in the following categories: Geography, Entertainment, Arts and Culture, Science and Nature, History / Events, Sports and Leisure
Grand prize to the winner with the most correct responses: $100 ($50 in case of a tie)
Bring your favorite snack and drink, and look your best by proudly wearing your Taste of Haiti tee shirt.
