Light a Candle:
Creating Space for Light to Enter
When God created the heavens and the earth, and announced, “Let there be light,” God meant right then. And right now. Light entered the world just three verses into creation, and in spite of years of attempts at snuffing out the light—Light Still Wins.
In dark spaces, the flame of a candle becomes a focal point. As the poet Rumi says, “The wound is the place where the light enters you,” so even hard things can open us to God. This weekend, join us as we create space for light, with practical tools for focus. Because whatever your situation, in spite of difficult places, light always wins.
Light a Candle: A luxurious weekend, gorgeous with food, plentiful with gracious spaces, filled with inspiration from God and from presenters Nancy Groom and Jane Rubietta. Come join us. We’ll leave the light on for you.

About our presenters:
Nancy Groom ministers as a spiritual director and currently serves on the spiritual director formation team for St. Peter upon the Water in Ingram, Texas. She has taught Scripture for five decades and has written several books. Nancy lives in the Texas Hill Country with Bill, her husband of 47 years.
Jane Rubietta speaks internationally, has written hundreds of articles and 19 books. Honest, hilarious, and deep, she specializes in help, hope, and humor, and her doctor says those are good for heart.
She will have her books and other resources available at our retreat so you can take some light home with you.
