About Duravit
Duravit, a leading manufacturer of bathroom ceramics headquartered in Hornberg, Germany, opened Duravit New York in 2008 on Madison Avenue, the company’s first stand-alone showroom in the United States. Designed by Stuttgart-based architects Schmutz & Partner, Duravit New York is an impressive 4,000 square-foot space guided by the signature aesthetic of Duravit’s sleek bathroom and wellness products. Inspired by the notions of endlessness, vastness and openness, the architects designed Duravit New York in the form of a “blue space” – a seamless showroom with inherent, boundless movement.
Successful design captures the spirit of a coming age. Duravit has continually remained ahead of its time through collaborations with some of the most accomplished members of the architecture and design community, including: Philippe Starck, Lord Norman Foster, Sieger Design, Phoenix Design, Massimo Iosa Ghini, James Irvine, Frank Huster, Jochen Schmiddem and Eoos, amongst others. These renowned designers have helped to shape Duravit’s company history with groundbreaking, timeless creations that have set a new precedent for success and leading trends in modern bathroom design.
About Geberit
Geberit provides systems for wall-hung and floor-mounted toilets and fixtures. Replacing a standard tank and toilet with the Geberit system results in more usable space, improved hygiene, and better accessibility. Monolith is Geberit’s newest product – a unique alternative to the traditional floor-mounted toilet and tank. Both Geberit and our in-wall systems feature the unique Geberit dual-flush valve, which saves water and is practically maintenance free.
