 Michael Koscielny Bio - 

Vice President of Underwriting at Florida Peninsula Insurance Company, Sarasota, Florida, since February 2014. Mike has more than 40 years’ experience, creating innovative processes in underwriting and pricing, in the insurance industry. 

 Founder and CEO of Born2Lead, LLC, its goal is to develop and mentor emerging leaders in every industry for roles of greater responsibility. Sharing leadership skills that have a proven track record for success in group and personal settings helps young professionals bridge the gap as they prepare themselves not only technically but as future leaders. Born2Lead, LLC offers workshops on leadership skills development, setting professional/career goals, active listening skills for success, and for mentors, becoming allies, advocates, and champions, among many other sessions tailored to the needs of those young leaders.

Earned a bachelor’s degree (BS) in Economics and History from Northern Illinois University in 1980 and master’s in business administration (MBA) in Risk Management & Insurance from Olivet College in 2021. Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1996 and Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 1991. Other Insurance designations which include AINS, API, AIC, AIS and ARe.

 Served as 2017 CPCU Society President,  2017 Ex Officio Member of the Board of Trustees - The Institutes and 2017-2018 President of the Underwriting Executives Council. Over the past 25 years served the CPCU Society as Leadership Council member, Chapter Governor, Chair of the Champions Advisory Committee, Chair of the Interest Group Task Force, and President of the Cincinnati and Northwest Chicago Chapters.

 U Ulises Castellon Bio - 

Ulises Castellon, CPCU RPA, has worked as a claims professional for over thirty-five years. In 1996, he associated with Fire Cause Analysis, a premier forensic investigation and engineering firm, and is currently Chief Executive Officer. He is also the principal of a consulting business, serving clients as an insurance consultant and expert witness in claims handling and coverage matters.

Ulises regularly teaches courses on issues ranging from Arson and Fraud Investigation to Fair Claims Practices. He has presented at various statewide & national organizations on numerous occasions and presented "Bad Faith Nightmares - Trends & Themes" at the 2018 CPCU Society's Annual Conference in San Diego.Ulises is also a co-author of Scientific Evidence and Expert Testimony, Chapter 6 - Origin and Cause of Fire and is a contributing author of The Institutes Associate In Claims (AIC) 31 Insurance Designation on Investigating Losses Caused by Fire, Lightning, Smoke, and Explosion, The Fire Investigation Team and Investigating a Suspicious Fire Loss.

Ulises is bilingual and has acted as a media spokesperson for local news and information programs, including Spanish-speaking television. Ulises earned his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1989 and is a past president of the Sacramento Valley Chapter.

 Elaine George Bio -

Vice President of the Internet of Things (IoT) operations at Chubb Insurance.  In addition to IoT, she has experience underwriting US and international business. Prior to ACE (now Chubb), she worked in California for USLI, a Berkshire Hathaway Company & for Patriot Insurance Company, a regional carrier in Maine.  She is a volunteer leader at the CPCU Society.
