Please join us in welcoming Dr. Sandra Miles, Professor of Human Resource Management with Murray State University as she identifies and addresses the most current “Hot Button Issues” (such as talent management and human resource strategy) in International Human Resource Management and gives us a glimpse into what is over the horizon to assist you in meeting those challenges.

Since 2011, Dr. Miles has represented the United States as a delegate on the International Standards Organization (ISO) – TC 260 committee responsible for setting new International Human Resources Management Standards.She is the convener for the recruitment standard, which is currently a draft international standard under public review. The “Hot Button Issues” being discussed were identified by the World Federation of People Management Association who surveyed 3500 respondents HR practitioners and CEOs from 101 countries.

OUR PANELISTS
Dr. Sandra Miles, Professor of Human Resources of Murray State University and United States Delegate to ISO TC 260

Dr. Miles earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, and her Masters and Doctorate from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. In addition, she is certified as a Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR), and Global Professional of Human Resources (GPHR). She has earned the distinction of Academic Fellow, the highest qualification for the academic profession through Charted Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD) in London, U.K. Dr. Miles is actively involved with ISO TC 260 for setting international Human Resource Management standards. She has represented the U.S. as a delegate since 2011, and is the convener for the recruitment standard.

Bill Hutter, CEO of Sequent
Mr. Hutter is founder and CEO of Sequent, which works to solve business/people problems in the areas of human resources, employee benefits, workers compensation, and more. The company provides services to over 400 clients in the US, Europe and Canada. By augmenting any company’s in-house capabilities with Sequent’s, companies are able to increase employee productivity, manage and mitigate risks and responsibilities of being an employer, while improving their bottom line. Mr. Hutter’s accomplishments have been focused primarily on start-up ventures, emerging companies and working in turn-around situations.

John Zoeller, CEO and President of Zoeller Company
Mr. Zoeller served as the Senior Civil Engineer for the Louisville Jefferson County Metropolitan Sewer District from 1984 to 1989. He joined Zoeller Company in 1989 and in 2003 became the President and CEO, which is the position he still holds today, as well as being on the Executive Committee. Mr. Zoeller is a 1979 graduate of the University of Louisville with a Master’s degree in Engineering and holds a Licensed Professional Engineer designation. Mr. Zoeller is currently serving on several boards including the University of Louisville Family Business Council (Vice Chairman for 2012 and Chairman for 2013), Whipp Mix, and Harbor House.

Roger Yule, CPA Partner at Crowe Horwath
Mr. Yule specializes in the taxation of US individuals and companies that work outside of the United States, as well as foreign persons (TCNs) who come into the United States to work. He has in excess of 25 years expatriate tax experience. During his tenure with Chicago Bridge and Iron Company, Roger was responsible for all US aspects of international tax compliance and reporting for 100 plus foreign subsidiaries and also worked with approximately 150 US expatriates scattered all over the globe. Roger holds a Masters of Accounting from Kaplan University and a Masters of Science in Taxation from DePaul University.
