Love art? Join our Mosaic team!

Help create a large scale outdoor public mosaic on the Greater Waterbury YMCA! The Y is looking for volunteers to work with Danbury artists Joanne and Bruce Hunter on the fabrication of large mosaic panels. No experience necessary!

The Y is  honored to be working with Joanne and Bruce Hunter, distinguished Connecticut mosaic muralists again who were instrumental in the “Cool Waters” project on South Main Street, as well as the “Star” at Rotella School.

The YMCA is engaging  the community to create the mosaic panels that will run across a 60’ x 2’ band below the front walkway, and six 4’ x 4’ inset panels by the garden beds across the front of the Y.  There are lots of volunteer time slots available, it only requires 2 hours of your time and energy and YOU can be part of this collaborative art piece!

 We are looking for 25- 30 community volunteers to fill 20 time slots for fabrication.  We  hope that you will consider being a part of this exciting opportunity to bring an immersive visual arts experience to this downtown corridor.
