All of the students in Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestras' (SYSO) Endangered Instruments Program (EIP) are invited to this FREE event.
EIP musicians will first listen to and then perform with SYSO's Junior Symphony Orchestra in University of Washington's Meany Hall. Families and friends are invited to the performances and to enjoy free pizza with all of the musicians afterwards. Casual dress; Concert dress is not required.
Space is limited. We want to be able to fit everyone on stage and have enough pizza! Please RSVP by March 1, 2016 to insure your student's participation in this fun event.
10:00 a.m.- 10:15 a.m. - Endangered Instruments Program student and families check-in.
10:15 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. - Junior Symphony Orchestra (JSO) mini-performance for
EIP students
10:45 a.m.-11:00 a.m. - EIP students join JSO
on stage to perform Beethoven's "Ode to Joy"
11:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m. - Side-by-Side performance by JSO and EIP students
11:30 a.m. -11:45 a.m. - EIP student photos by instrument group
11:45 a.m. -12:30 p.m. - Pizza party. All are welcome!
PARENTS: Meet the professional musician coaches who work with your students throughout the year. And, all students attending this event are eligible for $200 discount off the cost of SYSO's Marrowstone-in-the-City summer program.
